Steve Jobs had an uncanny intuition for advancement. He and his team at Apple developed some of the most successful phones, music players and personal computers the world has ever seen. These intelligent devices, coupled with elegant and sleek designs to entice and arouse customers, are some of the most recognizable products in the world. He also played a large role in developing Pixar after purchasing the company from George Lucas and creating their first movie, 'Toy Story.'
But Steve Jobs was not your typical genius. He was an adopted college drop out who spent his formidable years backpacking through India and experimenting with psychedelics. While traveling, Jobs embraced the Indian culture that was said to have shaped his character and his vision. And this was all before he was ousted from Apple in 1986, prompting a 10-year hiatus.
He was known as an extremely detail-obsessed and temperamental boss who didn't let any product be placed on the shelves unless it was absolutely perfect. It was this dedication that drove Apple to become the incredible success it is. In 2011, Apple listed more cash reserves than the U.S. Treasury. And for a stint, Apple became the world's most valuable company, surpassing Exxon Mobile.
Steve Jobs' genius and passion will surly be missed, remembered and held to the highest regard. Rest in Peace, Mr. Jobs.
