Oh snaps.

Welcome to the internets. Where most of you spend countless hours during the week. We get paid to sit in front of the computer and pretend to do work, but really, we're finding out what Lindsay Lohan had for breakfast and googling awkward pictures of cats. Here's a toast (a blog toast because drinking is NOT allowed during work...) to all of you 40 hours a week craftsmen. Because let's be honest, we are all craftsmen. Do you know how hard it is to quickly exit a facebook browser?

Marilyn Monroe's White Dress Sells for $4.6 Million at Auction

One of the most recognizable dresses in film, Marilyn Monroe's white dress from "The Seven Year Itch," recently sold at an auction for $4.6 million. Yes, nearly 5 million dollars for this historic dress.

The dress is part of Debbie Reynolds' costume collection. Reynolds has collected more than 600 dresses and other pieces of memorabilia over the years. At 79 years old, Reynolds decided to auction off her collection to the public. However, before she did so, a good deal of costumes were put on display in Beverly Hills. My mom and I went over last weekend to check out the collection and it was astounding.

Along with the white dress and a few other pieces worn by Marilyn Monroe, the collection included Audrey Hepburn's white and black lace gown from "My Fair Lady," a dress and guitar worn by Julie Andrews in "The Sound of Music," and various other pieces worn by Barbara Streisand, Elizabeth Taylor, Katherine Hepburn, Marlon Brando, Grace Kelley, Carey Grant and many others. It was a beautifully preserved collection of movie costumes that was a treat to check out.

Saturday's auction sold Marilyn's dress as well as many others for a TON of money...much more than was predicted. Another auction including the rest of Reynolds' pieces is scheduled for December.

Maybe I'll go bid?
