Oh snaps.

Welcome to the internets. Where most of you spend countless hours during the week. We get paid to sit in front of the computer and pretend to do work, but really, we're finding out what Lindsay Lohan had for breakfast and googling awkward pictures of cats. Here's a toast (a blog toast because drinking is NOT allowed during work...) to all of you 40 hours a week craftsmen. Because let's be honest, we are all craftsmen. Do you know how hard it is to quickly exit a facebook browser?

Geocaching

This past weekend I went geocaching with some friends.  Never heard of it?  Well basically it's a giant game of hide and seek - a treasure hunt.  You basically get coordinates online or through an app on your phone, put them into a walking GPS and voila!  You're on your way.  We ended up at Brand Park in Glendale and my friends from LA who have never done this before (I used to do it all the time in Seattle) were surprised that it actually works.  Some of the caches are cool - they contain items for trading.  You get to take an item but you have to leave something else behind.  They can be stupid little trinkets or cool pieces of jewelry, books, etc.  Here are some pictures from our Geocaching adventure.  I plan on doing this at least once a week.  You should too!  There are geocaches all over the world - in over 100 countries, on all continents.  There are currently over 1.5 million archived geocaches and 5 million geocachers worldwide.

This is what you will usually look like searching for a geocache.  Some of them are hard, some of them are easy.  We were walking around with large sticks and hitting trees because our hint was "If you wiggle it above your head it will fall down."  Be prepared for lots of weird looks...
